On a personal note; I love the Med, especially in the "off/slow season" with fewer travelers around. Italy is my favorite country, and I am always amazed by its people, its culture and its food, which is very different if you are in the north, south, east or west. Cruising the Adriatic Ports have been my favorites, especially cruising in & out of Kotor, home to the only Fjord in the Med.
